Have you seen all the jokes like, “How do I unsubscribe from the ‘trials and tribulations’ package?” Yeah, that’s the energy I’m trying to channel going into 2025. 2024 wasn’t outwardly a bad year, but I feel like I lost a bit of myself. Starting a new job meant that I was doing whatever it took to get an entire company to like me. My dog needing surgery and going through recovery meant that there were long stretches of time where I barely left my house. It was meant to be my year of “better,” but it was not that.

Thus, I’m claiming 2025 as the year I get my *sparkle* back. If you’ve kept up with me, you know that I pick a word of the year. That word is how I want to focus my year. 2025 is the year of *sparkle*.

I would usually do a check in on how I achieved my 2024 goals at this point. However, I didn’t achieve them, so I’d just like to move on if you don’t mind. 😉

2025 Goals

I tried to keep it pretty simple with my goals this year. After all, this is about getting my sparkle back and doing things that I love.

• Read 85 books. This is 10 more than my 2024 goal. However, I did read 100 books in 2024 goal, so I think it’s achievable!
  • 35,000 pages
  • 15+ audiobooks
  • 1 nonfiction book per month
• Reach goal weight. Nope, still haven’t reached that magic number. However, no matter how hard I was trying, things weren’t moving. Then, I just got into a sad spiral, and it wasn’t great.
  • Couch to 5K (AKA become a runner?)
  • 100+ Onelife check-ins
• Grow social media followers. I’ve had these numbers as my goal for YEARS at this point, but it’s time to buckle down and really try.
  • 5,000 on TikTok – This goal will obviously dissipate should the app get banned in 2025.
  • 2,000 on Instagram
• Sell the items in my online shop to strangers. My merch has been up for a year or two, and I haven’t sold a darn thing. I’d like to change that.
• Find love. Yes, this is an actual goal for 2025. It’s been a wish or a hope in recent years, but I’m manifesting it as a goal in the hopes it will take.

I’m really trying to keep it simple this year. I’d like 2025 to be the year that I bring back joy into my life and get back to doing things for me.
