A Little Down the Book Jar Gift Guide
We all have products and companies we love. When I do love something, I will recommend it to anyone and everyone. While this post is originating around the holidays, these are great gift ideas in a variety of places for a variety of people and situations.
Listen, I try really hard to almost never make promotional content. However, I’d love if this little side hustle/joy project could generate a little income. So, count this as one catch-all blog post that you can come back to for any and every link or recommendation I would make. Like an extended Linktree.
Amazon
I know we want to shop small and support small businesses. However, Amazon isn’t all evil. I have had the pleasure of working with so many small businesses who sell on Amazon. If you have the opportunity, of course, buy from a company’s website or store.
As an “Amazon Influencer”, I have a Storefront where I can link all of my favorite products and curate lists and guides and posts and all sorts of things. This is also where you can find all the books I’ve read so far in a year. Check out 2024 and 2025!
Walmart
Newer to the game, I also have a Walmart Storefront! Walmart has had a rise in third-party sellers, so you can get more than just what you find in store.
I have some of my favorite basics, books, home decor, and more!
Benable
This is a platform “on the rise”. It’s a similar concept to an Amazon Storefront where you have the ability to create lists and add details on why you love products. However, these products can come from websites all over the internet.
Book Subscription Box
I currently subscribe to two bookish subscription boxes: Book of the Month and Aardvark Book Club. I pay for both out of my own pocket.
Personally, I like the opportunity to get a book every month. It’s also kind of like free books…in a girl math kind of way.
What’s the difference between the two? They’re both very similar. New, hardcover books that also come with a bookmark. You purchase credits and can redeem them for books or skip months as you see fit. However, BOTM is more well-known, “mainstream” books, whereas Aardvark has more lesser-known books and authors. I have loved (and disliked) books from both!
Book of the Month – Get a free hat in your first box (that you can choose), and your first box is $5 with free shipping!
Aardvark Book Club – There isn’t a referral link or code here, but they are currently advertising your first book for $4 and a free gift! Let me know if you sign up.
Miscellaneous Favorites
obe Fitness – I’ve been a member of obe for three years, I think. They’re great at-home workouts primarily designed for women. The platform offers yoga, sculpt, dance cardio, strength, and so many other types of workouts as 10-minute, 28-minute, or even 60-minute classes. A little something for everyone, no matter your day or experience level.
Halara – If you were like me, you fell for the dress with the built in shorts and bra that you coulod also use the bathroom in without having to be fully nude in a stall. They have so many other products too! From skirts to pants to jumpsuits…everything is high quality and more comfortable than you would anticipate. Use the code caroli76 to save 20%!
